Aberdeen WTP Project

M2 Construction built a new Water Treatment Plant for the Aberdeen Proving Grounds. The project included 4 new well houses, a booster pump station for raw water, rehabiliation of a historically protected building that was converted to a new water treatment plant, installation of sand filters, carbon filters and chemical feed as well as a new final finished water booster pumps station. The work included coordination of owner purchased equipment and water storage tanks as well as rehabilitation of an existing concrete tank repurposed for backwash tank. There was significant owner coordination required due to security. In order to minimize disruption to the owner’s property, M2 opted to install most of the new underground piping using directional drilled piping. The final plant added over one million gallons of water per day to the water distribution ability of the facility.
